Every Young woman's Focus

Bible Verse

Luke 10:41-42

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:(KJV) 

There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”(NLT) 

There are five areas a Young Lady should Focus on :

1)Spiritual Development 

Proverbs 31:30

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. 

As a young woman it is natural and human for you to worry and be concerned about your life, future and destiny. But Jesus admonished Martha to put first things first. When the foundation is right and strong, there will be no need to worry about the wind, flood or rain of life( Challenges) Matthew 7:25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Jesus is the rock upon which we can stand strong and firm. When we make Jesus our Focus, he will direct our path in the journey of life. He is the Way, the truth and life (John 14:6). He knows the way to your destiny, he knows what you really need and he is life itself. So you doing life without him it's like a fish out of water, you will keep struggling until you finally give up. Every Young woman should make Jesus the priority of her life and see him transform you into the woman he has ordained you to be. 

Don't go looking or seeking for a relationship in a man if you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus. The first Person Eve met was God, it was God that took her to Adam. God knows the type of man that will fit into your life and destiny. A popular but very profound quote says" A woman's heart must be hidden in God that a man must seek him to find her". Let Jesus lead you to him, he will treat you right. 

2)Intellectual Development 

A lady should develop her self intellectually . Go to school, don't fall for the scam that who school help, a well educated woman is an asset to her  family and the nation. It adds to your dignity and pride. Also learn digital skills like coding, graphic design, videography, website design learn about crypto trading etc. Life is now lived on the internet. Don't settle for only school certificates. Also go for online courses in relation to your field, get certifications, post graduate diploma, leadership courses, Bible courses, culinary courses etc. No knowledge is a waste. Don't waste profitable time on social media scrolling other people's content. Know a little about things in your immediate environment, in the society and nation. Don't be an analog girl in this digital world. Grow daily, refuse to remain where you were yesterday, last week, last month or last year. Follow Godly role models, people that are already on the path you intend to follow in life. Hebrews 6:12

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Also devote yourself to reading self development books. 

3)Financial Development 

You should be able to make, manage and multiply money as a young woman. Instead of wasting energy and time looking for a rich man, channel that energy towards enriching yourself. you also can be a rich woman. Pastor Olumide said wealth is not sexually transmitted. Money will give you a voice in your future family my dear sister and the society . The world is cruel to a poor woman. Make your own money sweetheart. 

Proverbs 31:16 she considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

The proverb 31 woman is a very wealthy woman, she buys things with the fruit of her hands. She is not  looking up to a boyfriend to buy her latest IPhone.  She buys fields and lands. She is an investor not a spender. You should develop an investor mentality the ability to multiply money. Not just spending or buy buy mentality. Read books related to finance that will enhance your business capabilities. Have a small business that earns you money that make by yourself. You don't have to be begging for recharge card from uncles, aunties, boyfriends. Nothing reduces the worth of a woman like begging. It gives people power over you especially boyfriends. Learn how make your own money now. 

4)Social Development 

Proverbs 31:10,Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 

The Bible knows that such times will come and so king Solomon was asking who can find a virtuous woman? One thing missing in our generation is morals. Don't be among the them. Young girls talking to people anyhow without courtesy. You remembered the story of Rebecca in Genesis 24, the criteria or the fleece Abraham's servant put was that the girl that will give him and his cattle water. Your moral virtue as a young lady is what defines you as a woman and the type of family you are coming from. Your beauty and money is meaningless if you don't have moral values. Proverbs 11:22 As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. 

Learn how to communicate and relate with people well. Don't be too lousy, cultural and conservative . Learn how to be flexible, firm but Disciplined. 

Also, learn how to dress decently and neatly. Remember you are addressed by your way of dressing. Don't dress like a prostitute and expect to be treated like a princess.

Proverbs 7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

5)Mental and Emotional Development 

Proverbs 25:28

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Mental development focuses on your maturity as a young woman. Maturity on how handle situations and circumstances. You should not be led by your emotions but learn discipline and self control.  If we don't have self control, we will be slaves to what controls us. Food, lust, money, our tongue. Self control gives you the strength to be Disciplined and also the ability to say no people or situations that conflicts with your values and principles. Just like Moses in the Bible, when he became matured, he understood his roots and who really was. A woman who knows and understands her self esteem won't settle for less. 

Hebrews 11:24-25

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.

A lady that is emotionally and mentally matured will not be pressured to say yes or no to someone. But will have the courage and boldness to follow God's will. Also, chasing and following your dreams requires a great deal of courage and boldness because many people will not understand you. 

Lastly, An emotionally strong woman don't go about seeking pity or always crying over things, she doesn't think of suicide either. She relies on God and the power of the Holy Spirit to see her through every challenge of life.
