Questioning God

Isaiah 45:11

Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

One thing that baffles me often when I visit a bereaved family is this phrase "We can't question God! All we will say is thank you Jesus. You have given and you have taken."

Jeremiah 8:21

For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.

God is astonished at our hurt and pain because he has put everything in place for us to live an abundant, fulfilled and Victorious life. Scripture says my people perish because of lack of knowledge. And the devil thrive in our ignorance. 

Prematured death sometimes is the work of Satan and his agents. Situation where you see someone just graduated and died, just got married and died, just got a job and died, accidents etc. Asking God in such cases is the best thing to do, so as to know the cause of the death and prevent it from reoccurring. Also to know if it's from him, citing relevant Scriptures. Anybody that have personal relationship with God will ask God when something bad happens to him, it's not lack of faith or dishonour to God. 

Ecclesiastes 10:8

He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

So you ask God question like Daddy what happened? 

Did I break a hedge, is there a reason or an avenue that Satan has gotten to attack me or my loved one?

 Ephesians 4:27, Neither give place to the devil.

Am i giving the devil a place in my life and family by not interceding? 

And the spirit of Lord will begin to bear witness in you, giving you the  answers. 

Most importantly, just as I said earlier, the devil thrives in our ignorance. Most believers don't know the importance of  intercession, every family must have an Intercessor or gate keeper that must man the gates of your family. Just as the work of a security man is to look out for an an intruder and then raise alarm when he forseees danger. So is the work of a spiritual watch man. When a family have someone that prays no attack of the enemy will come undetected. But as long as someone is on the watch tower, God will definitely reveal. Except we don't pay attention. 

Habakkuk 2:1

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

In these days and times that we are in, Someone must be on the watch tower over their family, don't depend on your pastor's prayer alone. Stand in the gap for your life and family. You are responsible for your life and family. 

As mentioned earlier, God is surprised and unhappy when evil befalls his children. 

Ezekiel 22:30

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Isaiah 42:22

But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

It's to time to arise and put an end to the works of wickedness. God has given us authority and Dominion over them. There fore give him no place in your life, family and territory.

Ask God when evil happens, God is not a wicked father or cruel master who cannot be approached. He said come boldly to him, he is a loving and understanding father. 

Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Lastly I share a personal story of what I asked God when I lost a very dear, passionate and vibrant brother of mine who just recently Got married and died two months after. Before his death God has been impressing his thoughts strongly in my heart but I was waiting for the right time to call him, I didn't ask why is the thought of this person always crossing my mind. Until I was told of his sudden death, I wept bitterly and felt responsible for his death. Because God was speaking to me about him but I was too ignorant to know. And so I took it upon myself to search out the cause of his death. 

The Lord showed me a revelation of him relaxing and he suddenly received a call. He got up and hurriedly packed some clothes into his suite case without even zipping it well and took off on the journey in the afternoon. From the dream, I knew it wasn't the will of God for him to just leave in the midst of his days. And that was the reason God was beckoning on me to pray, but I did not. So if I ignorantly say I can't question God about his death , God will be saying really? He won't only be surprised but angry with me ? 

All those thoughts about a person, all those dreams about a person is a message from God. Pay attention to it. 

Jeremiah 33:3

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Come to him, ask him about those mysterious things going on in your life and family.

May the devil never prevail over our lives, family and territories in Jesus name. We receive the grace and the quickening to continously stand in the gap for our lives, family and The nation in general.
