WHAT IS LIFE PART2 ?

 Bible verse

Luke  19:13

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Yesterday we said that life is a Test, today we will be looking at Life as a Trust. 

LIFE IS A TRUST: Our time, talent (Purpose), treasures (Money), opportunities and relationships(Siblings Parent, children, spouse, friends, servants, Colleagues ) etc. Are gifts that God has entrusted to our care and management. We are stewards or managers of whatever God gives us. This concept of stewardship begins with the recognition that God is the owner of everything and everyone on earth. (Psalms 24:1 The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.) 

We never own anything during our brief stay on earth, God just loans it to us here. It was God's property before you arrived and God will loan it someone else after you die. You just get to enjoy it while you are here. (1 Corinthians 4:7 For what gives you the right to make such a judgment? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?NLT) 

But human nature says if I don't own something, I don't need to take care of it. But God expects us to live by higher standard. Because one day we will give account. (1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.) so at the end of your life, you be evaluated and then rewarded according to how well you handled what God entrusted to you. So even a simple daily chore have eternal implications. If you handle everything as a trust. God promises three things. (In the parable in Matthew 25:14-29 read it) 

1. Affirmation : Good Job, Weldone! 

2. Promotion : given greater responsibilities.( I will put you in charge of many things) 

3. Celebration :you will be honored with a celebration, "come and share in your masters happiness". 

Many people fail to realize that money is a Test and a Trust from God. He uses finance to teach us to trust him. God watches how we use money to test how trustworthy we are. Luke 16:11, And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?) 

Is your money preventing God from doing more in your life?

PRAYER

Father, please help me  not to hold anything too dear that I cannot lay it down at your feet or share with others in Jesus name. Amen 👏 👏
