TRUE SUCCESS

BIBLE VERSE

Proverbs 19:21

There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Success in the kingdom is not just about succeeding or prospering in whatever you are doing, but succeeding in what God has ordained for you to do on earth. (Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.) The world's definition of success is different from that of the Kingdom, you can be excelling and doing exploits but if you are not in God's will and plan, you are only Labouring in vain.

Seeking for daily bread and the mundane things of life (which is not bad, we all need it at a particular phase of our life) has kept many of us stuck in the wrong thing. Having a good paying job or business and making a living is a good thing but it is not all there is to life. (Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.)

If We all pursue God for our own desires and for him to prosper us, how can the kingdom grow and enlarge? We are all responsible for the growth of the kingdom, the great commission (Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.) is not for pastor's alone, the Bible says go ye into the world. And as we mentioned in our previous lessons, we are all called to different spheres of life to permeate the whole world with God's glory. (Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.) '

It' s no strange that you see some people after retiring pick up an entirely different interests in life and begin to pursue it rigorously, but with one regret in their heart, no more strength and time do it better. Even in the circular world motivational speakers will tell you not to work till retirement except that's your passion, work ten to fifteen years then quit and develop your personal business or interest.

The saddest and painful truth about not pursuing true success(God's will) is that you are only living a wasted life with relevance only on earth. When you die and go to Heaven you will realize that you are not known because you have not lived even one chapter of the script written for your life, entirely blank. So whether you die at ninety or thirty, if you are not fulfilling purpose you are just existing but not living, Heaven have no record of your existence. Myles Munroe of Blessed Memory said "Don't die young, die empty". So many of us will be shocked to know that the book of life does not just contain the names of people that are just righteous and are heaven's candidates, but the book of life contains what you are supposed to do for God on earth. (Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.) There's a book that contains every chapter of your life, you need to align with heaven to discover it, or else you will be toiling on the wrong path without heavens backing. When the storms of life comes, it will utterly crash.And anything you are building that is not God's will will not stand the test of time.( 1 Corinthians 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.)
