True Success Part 2

Bible verse

Acts  13:36 (Amplified version)

For David, after he had served God’s will and purpose and counsel in his own generation, fell asleep [in death] and was buried among his forefathers, and he did see corruption and undergo putrefaction and dissolution (of the grave).

Yesterday we said that when we are not walking in God's will we are toiling in vain, it has no eternal value. Today we will consider other consequences of not walking in God's will in our personal life. When you are not running with a vision and purpose in life, you will live at the mercy of anything or anyone that comes your way.

Purpose fosters discipline, the easiest way to be disciplined is to walk in purpose. Because purpose will determine what you do and don't do, where you go to, the kind of people you spend time with. It becomes the standard you use to evaluate which activity is essential to you. Therefore you concentrate your energy on what is important. You become effective by being selective "

Purpose is your key to longevity, there's a popular saying even in the world that men of vision don't die. But even in the kingdom, the Bible said in ( Psalms  118:17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.)  Because you are doing God's work, nothing can cut you shot until it is fully accomplished, because heaven knows that if you die, it will be a loss to the kingdom. Nobody could kill Jesus until he fulfilled his father's business, the same thing apply to us, no devil can harm or kill us until we have accomplished what heaven has sent us to accomplish.

Walking in purpose also brings contentment, you know you are doing what your father sent you to do, so you are not in competition with anyone and not under pressure to please anyone but your heavenly father. Imagine your father sent you to buy a shoe for him and another was sent to buy suit, will you follow the person sent to buy suit and forget about the shoe your father needs because you feel suit is more important to him?  I know you are saying no, so there's no need to be jealous of what somebody is doing. We are all sent to do different task. We are all here to accomplish our Father's purpose. The kingdom is like a farm, some Will do the clearing, others will plough, others will plant, some will harvest etc. We are called and wired to accomplish different task. All of us are important, no purpose is insignificant to God. You may not be known on earth , but in heaven you are recognized.

Purpose brings Joy and fulfillment, you would not be truly fulfilled and satisfied with life until you discover purpose. (Psalms  16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.)

So many people try to cover up the emptiness they feel inside by amassing wealth, they think having more will make them more happy, important or secure. Others become obsessed with fashion, others are driven by approval from parents, spouse, friends etc, and many others become obsessed and addicted to drugs, sex, Pornography, Etc because there's a hole in their heart that they don't know how to fill it up. But all these things will only provide temporary happiness. The reason so many people are depressed is because they feel they are worthless and have no value. But real and lasting security is found in that which cannot be taken away from you, your relationship with God and your purpose.  You can never be truly happy and Contented if you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus.
