THE PURPOSE OF MAN

 Bible verse 

Ephesians  2:10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Just like I keep saying, you are not on earth by chance or accident. You are alive because God wanted to create you to fulfill a specific CAUSE and task that only you can do. 

To simplify things, we will look at five purposes of a man's life and with that you will use it to evaluate yourself whether you are walking in purpose or not. If you are not,because you don't know your purpose, it will now be easy for you to walk in Purpose. 

We will use the Acronym CAUSE, to know the cause of our lives. ☺  ☺ 

1.C...stands for celebration, we are created on earth with the primary purpose of worshipping God. That's why we feel empty if we are not genuinely in an intimate relationship with God, because you are missing the reason for your creation. Imagine if you use different charger on your phone, the phone misbehaves and not even charge. We can't be truly satisfied except we are in relationship with our creator. Not just being a Christian and going to church. But close relationship like the relationship you share with the opposite sex. (Isaiah  43:21, This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.)

2.A...stands for Attitude : You were created to be like Christ in attitude, to represent him. The more we develop Christ-like attitude and character, the more you bring him glory. God wants us to grow to spiritual maturity to become like him. He is our ideal man,our pattern, our perfect model, our crush etc. Christ is who everyone should strive to be like, that's his will and purpose for you. (2 Corinthians  3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.) He is the only person you are permitted to copy if you want to be truly fulfilled. (Ephesians 5:1, Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.)

3.U..stands for Unity: we all crave for fellowship and union with other people. No one wants to be alone, it's part of God's purpose for your dear life. Fellowship and Relationships with others in love and unity prepares us for eternity, where those who have accepted Jesus will fellowship together forever. We must  learn to love other people as God loves them, Jesus said you can't claim to love me, if you don't love others. (John  13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.) Hence the essence of a local church is to teach and portray genuine love, which is Agape, and also a picture of how we will serve God in heaven. Belong to a church and be active.

4.S.. Stands for service. We can serve others when we know how to serve God. And you can only serve God effectively through the ministry he has called you to. Ministry does not mean church, it means your own mission field, your own sphere, where God has called you either through writing, music, entertainment, engineering, science. Your gifts, skills, talents and abilities were given by God not for your selfish purpose but to benefit other people, just as others were given abilities for your benefit.( 1 Peter  4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.) It's good to belong to a local church as I said, but thats not your personal mission or ministry. God will reveal to you your own mission in life in Jesus name, and with that you would serve him and others.

5.E..stands for Evangelism. Like we learnt in our previous capsules, the great commission isn't for pastor's but for everybody.( Mark  16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.) You bring glory to God by telling others about him, God doesn't want his love and purposes to be kept as a secret or to yourself. And you can effectively and conveniently bring others to him through your ministry (the work of your hands), through your attitude and character. If all these steps are rightly followed. I assure you of a happy and fulfilling life on earth and in eternity.

So carefully evaluate yourself and see which one is missing in your life.
