THE ENEMY CALLED SELF

BIBLE VERSE 

Proverbs 25:28(NLT) 

A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.

Most times, we don’t pay attention to our attitudes and character. We often blame people and circumstances as the source of our problems. But the greatest enemy is MR SELF, the flesh with it desires that won't let you be disciplined. Other internal factors like fear, doubts, self hatred, self criticism, low self esteem are all limiting beliefs that must be dealt it, if we must reach our Destination. 

No enemy from outside can prevail over you without your consent and permission. I once heard a man Of God said "Determination is greater than witchcraft, when you are strong willed and even the devil and his agents will give up on you. The devil is not strong but only persistent. Pay attention to your yearnings and aspirations, fight the spirit of laziness and procrastination, and low self worth. See yourself through the scripture (Psalms  139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.) and draw your strength from the power of the Holy Spirit. (Philippians  4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.) 

Give yourself to self growth and discipline. Set realistic goals and stick to it, until they are realized. 

The day I understood that the only person I need to be  better than is who I was yesterday, I became uncomfortable with my old self. My daily affirmation became "I refuse to be the same person I was yesterday " And every day I am evolving through self development. I Discipline myself to pray, study the word, read a book, work on my purpose and fight a bad habit I am trying to drop. I try as much as possible to be far from people that bring out the worst in me, (the old self I am trying to bury). Even writing this Destiny Capsule is so inconvenient for me at the moment , but I am determined to be consistent no matter the challenges. As I gave myself to self discipline, the worries, fear, low self esteem, anxiety etc began to fade away, I became full of joy, fell in love with who I am becoming and what I am doing no matter how little and insignificant it may be to people, but deep within me, I know that the new me I am developing is winning and soon enough the world will recognize the changes. 

 If only  you can conquer self, you can conquer any mountain. Excellence is not a person but a habit, nobody is born with a special trait written on their forehead the day they were born, all successful people that we see and admire got to where they are through DETERMINATION, DISCIPLINE and DEDICATION. 

My Dear Friend, don't worry about an enemy anywhere or village people, if you can tame Mr SELF through the power of the Holy Spirit. You can deal with external ones. 

Theodore Roosevelt said "with self discipline, everything is possible, not somethings. (Paraphrased)

PRAYER

Father, your word says I can do all things through the strength of your power. Empower me to be disciplined and submit to your leadership over my life in Jesus name.
